
During my first visit to Florence in June, I finally had the chance to stand in the Piazza della Signoria, a place I had wanted to visit for a long time. Among the many works of art in the square, the sculpture that had captured my attention was Benvenuto Cellini’s “Perseus with the Head of Medusa.” This bronze masterpiece, with its dramatic depiction of Perseus triumphantly holding Medusa’s severed head, stood out to me not just for its artistic beauty but also for the powerful story it tells.
